Wow, I can’t believe the day is here. Our little coffee shop by Organ Mountain Outfitters is finally opening up! Opening a location downtown has been a dream of Chad from Picacho Coffee and myself for quite some time, and now it’s finally here. We both wanted to collaborate on a project that told the stories of the farmers and our little desert wandering community. The origin story has formed our Mission Statement to be the following:
“Serving elevated coffee through the education of coffee varietals, origins, and the farmers who grow them. For those who wander for the perfect cup and an enriched community.”
This statement also formed our name for the coffee shop. We’re calling the shop “Saturdays” because of what Saturdays mean to all of us:
- Your favorite cup of coffee
- Slow mornings
- Farmers Markets
- Community
- Being together with family & friends
Contrary to the name, we will be open Monday - Saturday from 7 am - 3 pm. We will also expand our menu over the next several months to accommodate your favorite new drinks while providing a few surprises!
If you’re unfamiliar with Picacho Coffee Roasters, Chad and his wife Lauren started roasting coffee in 2009 and have become one of the largest wholesalers and independent distributors of single-origin & micro-lots in the southwest. They are known for setting the standard of quality and their commitment to telling the stories of unknown farmers who grow in the Americas, Africa, & the Pacific regions. Combining our skillsets of sourcing and crafting high-quality products, storytelling, and bringing our community together gave us the dream for Saturdays.
Please accept our invitation to join us this Saturday and enjoy your new favorite cup of coffee beside Organ Mountain Outfitters! We will be screen-printing Saturdays Coffee merch along with the opportunity to take 15% off your order when you show your OMO receipt at the register.
Thank ya’ll for always supporting our community in ways we could never have imagined. You can visit Saturdays online here: www.SaturdaysCoffee.com
All my best,
Chris Lang
